What’s the difference between a Marker Plotter and a Pattern Plotter?
Both plotters play vital roles in textile and apparel production, but they serve different purposes:
- Marker Plotter:
Prints marker layouts—optimized arrangements of pattern pieces to reduce fabric waste in mass production. Ideal for factory environments. - Pattern Plotter:
Prints individual templates or patterns with annotations and cutting lines. Best suited for designers and pre-production tasks.
Depending on your workflow, you can use either one or combine both for a fully integrated production solution.
What is the minimum paper width required to perform proper plotter installation, including calibrations and adjustments?
It is important to have a paper roll wider than 41″ to ensure accurate calibrations during the installation of Velocity plotters.
